PANDEMIC COVID19

Following the situation of uncertainty caused by the Coronavirus epidemic, ESI assessed on a case-by-case basis the opportunity to reopen face-to-face courses for the school year 2020/2021, ensuring maximum safety for students, teachers and families, in compliance with the regulations in force.

As it is known, ESI had suspended all courses from the beginning of March “in presence”,  continuing the teaching activity with lessons “at a distance”. At the beginning of the new school year 2020/2021 most of the courses have been reopened in traditional in-person mode, and some in remote mode (especially all adult courses). However, due to the subsequent unexpected evolution of the epidemic and the consequent government provisions, all courses are currently carried out in modality “at-distance”, pending further provisions.

REGISTRATION

Applications for registration can be sent by completing the relative moduli online.

New courses can be organized wherever there is a sufficient number of requests.

ESI also organizes individual courses for each need.

ANNOUNCEMENTS’ – COURSES too “REMOTE”

Thanks to the experience currently acquired,  ESI also intends to systematically offer courses “at a distance” , with modalities to be agreed according to requests.

New courses in ALMERE

After a break of a few years, ESI is pleased to announce that a new elementary course has been launched in Almere. Interested families can contact the ESI secretariat for information or use the online registration forms.

CANCELED the Italian children's theater in the Netherlands

Once again, ESI intended to offer students and their families an Italian theater tour for children (and also for adults!), with the company “La Baracca” of Prato for the show “Dry Strawberry Prof.”.
The shows were supposed to take place from 30 October to 1 November 2020 ad Amsterdam, Eindhoven e The Hague.

Unfortunately, following the Coronavirus epidemic, ESI has considered it appropriate to cancel this tour, postponing it to next year.

CELI certification of knowledge of Italian L2

The Center for Language Assessment and Certification of the University for Foreigners of Perugia has designated ESI as the Examination Center for the dissemination and administration of CELI exams (Italian Language Certificates) for all levels A1-C2. This Certification is valid in particular for the request for Italian citizenship.

From now on, all ESI students will be able to take the aforementioned exams on site.

This designation is a source of particular pride for all ESI collaborators, in recognition of the quality and professionalism of teaching acquired over the years.

CILS certification of the knowledge of Italian L2

The Certification Center of Italian as a Foreign Language (CILS) of the University of Siena has designated ESI as the Examination Center for the dissemination and administration of CILS exams (Italian Language Certificates) for all levels A1-C2. This Certification is valid in particular for the request for Italian citizenship.

From now on, all ESI students will be able to take the aforementioned exams on site.

This designation is also a source of particular pride for all ESI collaborators, in recognition of the quality and professionalism of teaching acquired over the years.

COURSES to obtain ITALIAN CITIZENSHIP

Based on the legislation that has recently come into force, for foreign citizens applying for Italian citizenship it is necessary to present a certificate of knowledge of the Italian language at minimum level B1 of the CEFR, issued by an institution officially recognized by the Italian government (such as CILS and CELI certifications). ESI organizes Italian language courses to achieve this B1 Certificate.

CLASS PROJECTS

LEIDEN – “The Tales of the Maredijk” is a written processing project carried out by the IV elementary class of Leiden - at the Maredijk Center - with the help and supervision of the teacher Francesca Della Maggiora, and started in the school year 2019-20, where children have conceived and written fantastic stories giving free rein to their innate narrative creativity. “The Tales of the Maredijk” are available on this link.

OEGSTGEEST – Another interesting project to facilitate the approach of students to Italian literature and the analysis of the text was carried out in an eighth grade class in Oegstgeest with the teacher Simona De Sanctis. The description of the project is available following this link.
