Pulcinella is the man in the street who manages to escape death, to make fun of power and arrogance while manifesting fear himself, fear and all those feelings that are not of the fairy tale hero but of the everyday man. Stories of Pulcinella it is a way of presenting ancient canvases in their modernity and universality, alternating them with other ancient and modern stories, and beyond that show it can become an encounter, lesson, history, travel together in the wonderful world of guarattelle. In 1978 Bruno Leone learns the art of guarattelle from Nunzio Zampella, last Neapolitan guarattellaro master, and thus avoids the disappearance of a tradition that dates back to medieval wanderers and acrobats. The art of guarattelle owes its vitality to the puppeteers' ability to combine memory and current events in a very careful relationship with the public. Bruno Leone, which has taken up the canvases and styles of this art, it has effectively contributed to the revival of a theatrical genre so important for the history of Neapolitan and European culture. Pulcinella, always on stage to the right of the puppeteer, he beats with his magical voice – obtained with the secret instrument of the pivetta – the alternation of stories.
