For the year 2024, at the ESI headquarters in Den Haag the next exams will take place on the following dates:

  • Just for B1-Citizenship: Thursday 15 February 2024 and 17 October 2024 (registration deadline: 15 January e 17 September 2024);
  • For all levels: Wednesday 5 June 2024 (registration deadline: 26 April 2024);
  • For all levels: Thursday 5 December 2024 (registration deadline: 26 October 2024).
  • REGISTRATION FOR THE EXAMS

To register for each of these exams it is necessary to provide the ESI secretariat (segreteria@scuolaitaliana.nl) the following personal data:

  • SURNAME
  • NAME
  • DATE OF BIRTH
  • CITY AND COUNTRY OF BIRTH
  • NATIONALITY'
  • POSSIBLE OTHER NATIONALITY
  • (optional) City of residence and telephone number
  • A COPY is also required OF A RECOGNITION DOCUMENT (Passport, Identity card with photo), in PDF format ( ev. JPG)
  • E’ also request one participation fee for the exam, variable depending on the level as indicated in the table below, to be paid into the ESI bank account: NL31 ABNA 0571 6812 39 – payable to: ESI Foundation, with the indication of the name and surname, exam level, exam day.
  • CANCELLATION of’ SIGNING UP
    It is possible to cancel your registration until midnight of the day before the closing of registrations. In this case, you will receive a refund equal to all the taxes paid (minus 10 € of administrative fees). In case of cancellation of the registration after the date indicated above, you are not entitled to any refund.
  • ABSENCE
    The candidate who did not have the chance, for serious health or work reasons, to participate in an exam session to which he is enrolled, will have to send ESI a useful document to justify the absence (medical certificate, employer declaration, etc.)
    In this case, the candidate is not entitled to a refund of the fees paid, but has one year to register for a new exam session, with an additional contribution of 10 €.
  • REPEAT part of the exam
    In case of failure of one or more parts of the exam, it is possible to support, within a year, the parts not passed, paying again only the taxes related to these parts. ATTENTION: for the level B1 Citizenship, who does not pass one of the 4 parts of the exam will have to repeat ALL the exam.

  • RESULTS AND CERTIFICATES

The results will be made public 30 to 45 days after the exam.
To check the results, just connect to the site from the University for Foreigners of Siena, enter the registration number received on the day of the exam and the date of birth. Waiting for the original certificate, a provisional certificate can be downloaded from the same page ("Summary").
The original certificates will be sent by the University of Siena directly to ESI circa 4 months after the exam. As soon as available at ESI, the certificates will be sent by post to the addresses indicated by the candidates or collected personally at the ESI headquarters.
